Gary Thatcher Dog Photography is a professional photographer based in Cornwall, GB with a relaxed friendly approach specialising in stylish modern professional photography at his studio near Looe and shooting at locations in Cornwall & Devon.
I’ve had a love for dogs for as long as I can remember. Looking back there were a few tatty photos in my parent’s photo albums of our dogs, Penny and Rocky, who I grew up with from a toddler. Like most people I look back wishing there were better photos of these much loved family members.
I owned a boarding kennels and cattery in Leicestershire for 8 years. During this time I set up a greyhound and lurcher rescue. Working closely with The Greyhound Trust, we re-homed over 500 dogs, mostly of the pointy variety and also quite a few different breeds.
I’ve been a photographer for 19 years. Photographing dogs brings me great joy and satisfaction. This shines through the photographs I capture.
My dedicated pet photography studio is based near the beautiful harbour town of Looe in Cornwall which is perfectly placed for travelling to location shoots in Cornwall & Devon.
